Master/Mate 200 GT
This USCG approved course teaches students the subjects and practical knowledge to perform as Master 200 gross tons or Mate 200 gross tons. Subjects covered include: license structure, rules of the road, watch-standing, navigation, shiphandling, emergency procedures, first aid, firefighting, pollution, stability, and National Maritime Law. The Masters license will have a designation based on the bodies of water where you obtained your sea experience.
A team of professional licensed mariners teaches the 14-day Master (not more than 200-Ton) course. This course combines formal classroom training, hands-on and computer study.
Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a certificate confirming that you have satisfied the following USCG requirement(s):
- The written examination requirements of 46 CFR 10.231 for upgrade of a license from Master 100 Tons to Master 200 Tons.
